Here we follow the tale of a poor tailor who is trying to keep his work going during a hard winter and in his freezing shop. He is trying to finish a very important order from the Mayor of Gloucester for his marriage on Christmas Day. He works far into the night and becomes ill and before he knows it has run out of food and time - and thread. How will he finish the beautiful jacket and the lovely waistcoat. The tailor is in luck since the mice that live in his dresser are very resourceful and decide to help the tailor with his assignment. Thankfully they are not only nice but they are also much wiser than Simpkin - the tailor's cat.
